The TIERRA 520 is a sculptural pendant lamp designed by Héctor Serrano for Faro Barcelona. Its design combines more sustainable material use with the distinctive texture of 3D printing. The shade is made from a blend of PLA bioplastic and recycled pine cellulose, while its surface creates a natural, hand-shaped effect. When switched on, the shade softly diffuses the light, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere in the space.

One of the most distinctive elements of TIERRA 520 is its 3D-printed shade, made from a blend of PLA bioplastic and recycled pine cellulose. The manufacturing process creates a finely layered, slightly grainy surface that gives the lamp a natural, almost hand-formed character. When switched on, the shade glows with a soft, warm light, allowing the material’s texture and the light to work together in defining the lamp’s appearance.

In HBellorín projects, we primarily choose the TIERRA 520 pendant lamp for dining areas where, alongside lighting, the materials and the character of the piece also play an important role. It works particularly well above smaller, intimate dining tables, where its warm light creates a pleasant atmosphere. The use of PLA bioplastic and recycled pine cellulose may also appeal to those who pay attention to the materials used when selecting interior furnishings.
