What are cookies?
Cookies are data files that the browser stores on the user's computer. Cookies are basic technological elements for the operation of efficient, modern online services that provide an appropriate user experience, and they are supported by all browsers.
What is the function of cookies?
Cookies collect data about the activities carried out by the user on their computer and on websites, and allow the Website to remember individual settings and actions.
The user can individually set, accept or reject cookies, as browser settings allow this. Cookies also make it possible to display certain special content to the user, such as videos.
What is the purpose of the data processing?
Identifying users, preventing data loss, distinguishing between users, tracking user sessions, and storing the data provided during those sessions.
What is the legal basis for the data processing?
With the exception of cookies that are strictly necessary for operation, the legal basis is the user's consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Consent can be given or refused in the cookie window displayed on the Website.
The consent given can be changed or withdrawn at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the Website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
How can cookies be controlled?
All browsers allow users to change their cookie settings. Most browsers accept cookies automatically by default; however, these settings can usually be changed so that the browser prevents automatic acceptance and gives the user the option each time to decide whether to allow cookies.
Since the purpose of cookies is to make the use and operation of the Website easier and to provide certain functions, disabling or deleting cookies may mean that the user cannot fully use the functions of the Website, or that the Website may work differently than intended in the user's browser.
Deleting cookies
Accepting or allowing the use of cookies is not mandatory. The user can also change their browser settings so that it rejects all cookies or indicates when a cookie is being sent.
Please note, however, that without cookies certain functions or services of the Website may not work properly.
Cookie management is usually available in the browser's Tools/Settings menu, under Privacy/History/Custom settings, typically under the name "cookies", "tracking" or similar. You can manage cookies in the following browsers by clicking the relevant link:

Session cookies (session-id)

Information originating from third parties or from advertising providers not connected with the Data Controller, in particular advertisements, may also appear on the Website. In order to provide personalised services, external providers place and read small data packets, known as cookies, on the user's computer. If the browser sends back a previously saved cookie, the provider managing it can link the user's current visit with previous visits, solely with regard to its own content.
