SAU 471 – Outdoor Black LED Spotlight (Faro Barcelona)

The key feature of the SAU 471 is its 10×60° elongated beam angle, which creates an even band of light across long, narrow surfaces. This light distribution is particularly well suited to illuminating walls, rows of hedges, and linear planting schemes when a longer-reaching light is needed instead of a concentrated point of light. Its clean-lined black aluminium housing blends subtly into its surroundings during the day. The high colour rendering index ensures natural colour reproduction. In our projects, we primarily use it alongside long wall surfaces and planted strips, including along fences or hedges.

Faro Barcelona developed the SAU 471 as the linear light distribution member of the SAU spotlight family. Its IP65 protection rating and technical foundations are the same as those of the family's versions with a rounder light distribution; the primary difference lies in the beam geometry. This makes it possible to choose either a more concentrated or an elongated beam within the same product family, depending on the lighting required by the outdoor surface in question. From a design perspective, this is particularly useful when a project calls for several different lighting effects created with luminaires that have a consistent appearance.

In our HBellorín projects, we choose the SAU 471 when the outdoor lighting concept is defined by the even illumination of a long, linear surface. In our Budapest garden projects, we also use it along fences, hedges, and planting beds, where the elongated band of light can follow the lines of the composition. Alongside the more focused-light members of the SAU family, it offers a practical solution for situations where the aim is not to highlight a single point, but to illuminate the surface continuously.
